Deborah Margolin is an internationally recognized playwright and performance artist whose work has firmly established her as one of the leading voices in North American women's theater She was one of the three founding members of the acclaimed American performance troupe Split Britches. She has performed her work widely in New York city, and has toured her shows and taught workshops throughout the United States and Europe. She is a 1990-91 winner of a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in Performance Art. She is currently a faculty lecturer at Yale in the Theater Studies program, teaching Playwriting and Performance. She is a recipient of the 2000 OBIE Award FOR Sustained Excellence in Performance. She has taught performance for many years at NYU. |
